Local Annie?

Okay, so none of the Pistol Annies are exactly "local." However, we are going to count it since, if you have listened to KOKE's morning show even three times, you probably already know that Miranda Lambert auditioned for Nashville Star at Hill's Cafe on South Congress. Good enough for me! 

It must not be possible to wear out an MP3, because if it were, my digital copy of the Annies' first album, Hell on Heels would be tore up. 

Who doesn't love these girls?! Don't tell me if you don't. I mean, we could still be friends, but our relationship might be a little strained.

Okay, so since we all love them, we can all get excited together that they have a new album, Annie Up coming out on May 7! So far they've released the first single, "Hush Hush":

And the track list. Can't wait to hear what #7 "Don't Talk About Him, Tina" is about! I bet there's really a Tina. 

One of my favorite things, is that almost all the songs on Annie Up are co-written by all three Annies. It's not a collection of Miranda wrote this, Angaleena wrote this, Ashley wrote these. The Annies totally have their own character that's unique from each girl individually.
